Program Overview

The Training Development and Delivery Certificate program was created to help bring training managers up-to-speed on the basics of developing and delivering a corporate training program. For those who are newer to the profession, the varied and complex tasks involved in building an effective workplace training program can be difficult to navigate without experience or training to guide you. This course provides a roadmap with steps, best practices, considerations and the space to workshop your own learning and development (L&D) program, so that you don’t have to learn through trial and error. Thus, this course will enable you to approach your role with a foundation in effective content development processes to prove your value to the business. 

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

This research-based certificate targets several areas of Training Industry’s Training Manager Competency Model™, including developing and delivering training solutions, optimizing L&D processes, and selecting and managing the resources needed to execute an effective training plan. 

After earning this certificate, you will be able to:

  • Develop and deliver training programs using best practices to ensure your programs’ success.  
  • Break down the tasks involved in training program development to build a realistic training plan, including your timeline and budget for course materials development, how to structure your instructional design processes and the most effective training delivery techniques for your program.   
  • Determine and manage the personnel and other resources required to develop and deliver training.   
  • Craft learning objectives and course outlines that are aligned with training goals. 
  • Optimize training program roll out and delivery messaging to set expectations and encourage buy-in.
