Performance Objectives

Performance objectives state what skills, knowledge or behaviors should result from the training intervention, written from the learner’s perspective. Well-written objectives will include an action verb that identifies the performance, the conditions under which the performance will occur and the criterion by which the performance will be measured.

Example: Upon completion of this workshop, sales representatives should be able to use XYZ software to enter the seven critical elements of the pipeline action plan, in advance of weekly review meetings with their sales manager.
