A letter of intent (LOI) is a document a company develops to communicate their intention of doing business with another company or companies. In the training industry, LOIs are predominantly used in Training BPO engagements but are also used in large financial and complex business transactions for training services. The purpose of the LOI is to communicate an intent to purchase and to protect both parties, particularly in the event of lengthy negotiation processes.
