Learning Object

Learning objects refer to micro elements of intelligent information, or “single chunks” of learning content, which can be combined with other objects to form a better learning experience. Learning objects generally refer to electronic files that can be stored in an object repository, or knowledge repository, for on-demand access by instructional designers, instructors or students. Objects may be videos, charts, photographs, graphs, images, infographics, articles, research, case studies, wiki posts, blogs, etc. Also see Experience API.
