Instructional Design

Instructional design is a systematic process for creating learning materials and experiences to maximize learning outcomes. It involves the analysis of learning objectives and learner needs, the development of instructional materials, the implementation of instructional strategies and the evaluation of the instruction’s effectiveness. The goal of instructional design is to ensure learners acquire the knowledge, skills and behaviors needed to achieve the learning objectives and improve their performance. Also referred to as instructional systems design (ISD).
