Inquiry-based learning refers to learning that occurs through involvement, participation and inquiry. As opposed to traditional learning methods like memorization, inquiry-based learning is more active and often involves problem-solving, experience, or research. A common example of inquiry-based learning is when individuals seek knowledge, information or truth through questioning; this type of learning is how many children learn basic knowledge and skills.
