Certification refers to the verification or confirmation that an individual, organization, product or object has met or achieved a minimum set of standards or criteria related to a skill, job, task, course, education or assessment. Also refers to whether an individual (or product) has attained required work behaviors and for acknowledging their attainment. See also Accreditation.
