Onboarding remote workers that are geographically dispersed is a major challenge for the training industry. Successfully bringing on new hires has never been more important as company growth depends on how well employees understand the technical and cultural expectations of their roles.
There are two onboarding streams that are critical to a new employee’s success: technical onboarding to the role and cultural onboarding to the organization. This session will address the key aspects of both onboarding streams and the ways to build effective onboarding programs.

Mark’s experience includes the creation and management of five different online universities, the development of competency profiles and related onboarding programs for several Fortune 100 companies, and 20 years of developing and implementing learning strategies in both the corporate and higher education environment. He received his doctorate in instructional technology with a focus on distance learning and assessment from Northern Illinois University. |
