Hybrid onboarding should take a balanced approach to combine virtual and in-person elements not only to deliver exceptional training on new functions and tasks, but also to foster an equitable experience that maximizes the success of new hire training and aligns with business strategy. With the help of company subject matter experts (SMEs), a learning and development (L&D) team developed an onboarding experience to support continuous learning and self-improvement that delivers relevant skills training based on current business needs.

During this talk your speaker, Lana Gossin, L&D supervisor of NYSTEC, will share a firsthand example of how an internal L&D team created an onboarding program with both in-person and virtual experiences that prioritize equitable and inclusive learning experiences that contribute to the business’s learning strategy and establishes a sense of belonging.

This interactive session will provide easy-to-understand insights on:

  • What to consider when creating a hybrid onboarding experience that aligns with a business’s learning strategy.
  • Identifying appropriate stakeholders and performing a gap analysis of the organization’s onboarding needs.
  • How to create an inventory for new hires of their learning throughout the onboarding processes.
